Final Preparation

By this time I think I have graded everything that I have from you and the grades have been entered into Edbox.  If you see an inaccuracy or if you have a question, please e-mail me.  The Physics in Motion Projects were truly a delight to read.  I learned a lot about the different sports and activities and it was fun to see how you all applied the physics.  There were a few projects that had missing parts that can be made up.

Answers to the Semester Review Packet are posted in the documents section.  I highly recommend that you work through the problems to prepare yourself for the final.

Remember the notecard guidelines:
1)  No bigger than 4 x 6 (in inches)
2)  Can write on both sides
3)  Must be hand-written by you, no photocopying
4)  The card will be collected after the test (if you really want it back, you can get it back later)

What you need for the final:
1)  1-2 decent pencils with erasers
2)  A scientific calculator that you know how to use
3)  Paper for the problems and short answers
4)  Something to do if you get done early

I will provide you with the equation sheet that is in the documents section.  The test has about 30 multiple choice, 9-10 problems, and 3 short answers.  I expect it to take most people at least 1.5 hours.  Unless you have an IEP or 504 that gives you more time, you need to complete the test in the 2 hours allotted.

Your best preparation is going over the review sheet and/or notes and making a good notecard of the things that you find hard to remember.  Other than that, remember to breathe and take the questions one at a time.  If one is frustrating you, move on and come back to it later.  Try not to spend too much time on the multiple choice.  Frequently your first impression is correct, and second-guessing yourself can be counterproductive.

We will be going over the Review Packet on Monday and Tuesday, in addition to clearing up any questions about grades.  If you have any questions about the material or your grade, don't hesitate to ask.  I will be available for Test Corrections and help on Tuesday at lunch.

Your Late Work and Extra Credit Deadline Has Been Changed Until Tuesday By the End of Lunch!!
