Egg Drop

On Thursday 12/16 we will be dropping our Egg Drop contraptions off of the rear of the Lincoln stadium.  We will have time on Tuesday to work on the contraptions as well as about 40 minutes on Thursday.  You can do this by yourself or with one other person.

The categories are:
1)  Open category:  almost anything goes, but try to make it interesting.  Do not use any substances that will explode or make a mess upon impact.  The dropper will be responsible for cleaning up any messes.

2)  Limited materials.  I will provide clear drinking straws, masking tape, string, rubber bands, and paper.  Quantities used should be within reason.   Parachutes are banned from this category.

The Write Up:
1)  Labeled diagram of your contraption including metric measurements and materials used.
2)  Discuss 3 of the physics principles that are involved in the egg drop.
3)  After dropping:  How did it go?  If the egg broke, what would you do to try to improve the design?  If the egg didn't break, what would you do to challenge yourself further?

Turn the write up in by Friday 12/17.
