The Week of 9/13-9/17 (updated on 9/15)

• Monday 9/13:  Counting and calculating with significant figures.  Calculating with uncertainty.  Hand out practice worksheet.   Do more trials for measurement lab.  Practice worksheet due Monday.  Final data table for Measurement Lab due Friday.  Signed Safety Contract due tomorrow.
• Tuesday 9/14:   Turn in Safety Contract.  Uncertainty with multiplication and division.  Time to work on worksheet and measurement lab.
• Thursday 9/16:   Scientific notation, metric system, and conversions.  Continue working on worksheet.  Components of a good graph, including uncertainty.   Practice graphing 2 different sets of data on graph paper and turn in today during class.   Introduce LoggerPro.  Go to Ms. Wadkin's website to download "LoggerPro" for use at home.   Please download if possible by next Tuesday.
• Friday 9/17:  Turn in Measurement Lab data.  More on graphing and LoggerPro.  Any questions on significant figures, uncertainty, conversions, or scientific notation?  Worksheet due Monday.  Short test on this material on Tuesday.
